A high performance mindset is one that is authentic to you — and at the same time is optimal for a specific circumstance. Intentional thoughts are the foundation of a high performance mindset. What you say to yourself matters. The repetition and consistency of those thoughts turn into thought patterns.   At the base of every successful company and high performance team are people and the magic they create when they work together successfully. Developing your team dynamic is just as important as individual performance development. Even the word company is “human” in essence it’s really all about the company we : Alison Robins.

This combination seemed to have a multiplying effect—not only were these “High Performance Teams” (HPTs) more effective, but most of the folks involved in the teams were actually having fun. As I learned and applied some of these common themes, more and more teams were able to transition to this level of all-around performance.   Lyssa referred in her book: ´ “metaphors” are a core skill that is taught in professional coaching courses.´ This is exactly what High-Performance Tree is, a metaphor to help teams to create a compelling vision for themselves; a way to create a path that leads to High-Performance teams.

High-Performance Teams establish relatively more aggressive and ambitious performance goals for the team members as compared to the usual teams. All the team members are motivated for delivering excellence in performance by meeting the challenging goals and have a more profound passion for the achievement of the mission collectively. Creating a high performance team also counts on you empowering and trusting your team and not trying to micro-manage every aspect of their work. This type of approach leads to mutual respect and will motivate most individuals in your team to perform to a high standard. Creating a high performance team takes time and energy on your part.
